BusinessVoice Wins Three 2018 MarCom Awards

The MarCom Awards recognizes excellence in the world of marketing and communication. In fact, the industry's largest, most prestigious creative firms compete for MarCom recognition.

That's why our MarCom wins and other honors are such an important clue when you're looking for the right marketing agency: those awards reinforce that our work stands up to the best in the marketing world.

In October 2018, we earned a Platinum MarCom Award for one of the humorous On Hold Marketing productions we created for Lakeland Auto and Marine. It features the copywriting and voiceover of Scott Greggory. Chris Zaharias served as Recording Engineer.

Our On Hold Marketing work on behalf of Omega Force won a Gold MarCom Award. Jason Webber wrote the copy. Steve Lovvorn and Amy Scott provided the voiceover. Don Binkley was the Recording Engineer.

We also won an Honorable Mention for Humor On Hold we created for our long-time client, Binkelman. Scott Greggory wrote it. He and Amy Scott were the voices. Chris Zaharias engineered the project.

The MarCom Awards is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, an international organization whose members include thousands of marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, digital and web professionals.

MadAveGroup Captures Top Award

Only one radio campaign won a 2017 Platinum MarCom Award. Ours.

The humorous five-spot series we created for Ray’s Trash in Indianapolis took one of the top prizes in the international competition, which receives about 6,000 entries annually.

“Ray’s asked us to produce a radio spot to run during the Indianapolis Indians radio broadcasts this past summer,” said MadAveGroup CCO Scott Greggory. “We considered the five-month season and the four-spot-per-game frequency, and then suggested creating five spots instead. We knew that hearing the same spot over and over could lead to listener burnout, which would result in frustration with the brand. A greater variety of spots would prevent that problem.”

MadAveGroup Wins Pair of 2013 MarCom Awards

MadAveGroup has been recognized once again for "outstanding achievement" in the field of marketing and communications by the 2013 MarCom Awards, an international creative competition that includes entries by media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.

BusinessVoice, our On Hold Marketing division, received the highest honor - a Platinum MarCom Award - for "Binkelmania," a humorous On Hold Marketing production we created for Binkelman Corporation. (Listen in the video below.)

We also earned a Gold MarCom Award for a series of three radio spots we created for Spirit Services. (Listen to them in the video below.)

"The radio spots we produce for Spirit are not only designed to encourage a specific response," said VP of Creative Services Scott Greggory, "they support the company's brand identity. We want that audio to sound like what their website and social media channels look like. That way, there's a stronger connection with the brand as people move from the radio to Spirit's online world."

"That's one of the advantages of working with an agency like ours. Radio and TV stations are in the business of production and distribution, not necessarily great content creation. We focus on each client's message, supporting their brand identity, and strengthening the audience's perception of their company in a creative way," said Greggory. "Ours is a consistent and long-term approach."

BusinessVoice and its in-house website design, development and marketing company WebArt have been recognized once again for creative and marketing excellence. The agencies won two 2011 Gold MarCom Awards on November 8th.

The WebArt team received an award for its work on the website for Mountain View Tire, a 30-store chain of tire and automotive service centers throughout southern California. Since WebArt re-designed, built and has been marketing the new MountainViewTire.com, the site has generated 218% more phone calls from unique, web-only phone numbers, and a 100% increase in online appointments.

“Our approach to Website Marketing and our talented team have all contributed to the success of the Mountain View Tire site,” said Steve Timofeev, Director of WebArt. “We’re very proactive and take the initiative on many aspects of the site, but we also work closely with the client. Our processes work very well.” WebArt also manages Mountain View Tire’s social media and provides ongoing search engine optimization (SEO Marketing) and Website Marketing service to continually draw organic traffic to the site.

BusinessVoice also received a Gold MarCom Award for a humorous On Hold Marketing production it created for Walter’s Goodyear in Mission Viejo, California. (Watch the video version of the award-winner here.)

The agency has been acknowledged dozens of times for its funny approach to On Hold Marketing. “Often, callers will accept a company’s marketing information more readily if it’s mixed with humor,” said BusinessVoice Creative Director Scott Greggory. “Using humor on hold also works well because it’s not expected. It catches callers off guard, and then draws them in to listen more intently.”
